Potty time!

So I have heard, from many people with young boys, that the potty training goes somewhat slow. So here I am expecting to have atleast another year with a baby in diapers...to some that may sound bad...but for me, I am kind of scared at the idea of not having a "baby" anymore, and it also opens my eyes to the fact that it might in fact be time for another baby. Not that that is a bad thing, but it all happened so fast. Now, everyone knows, Jake has never really been a "baby" hahaha he's always had a very manly look about him...but he has always been my little itty bitty baby, so to come to terms with actually having him graduate to "official toddler" is bittersweet.

Jake came to me the other day and Said "Poo Poo Momma, Poo Poo!!" and he grabbed my hand and guided me to the bathroom...it's kinda funny but I just stood there not understanding for a moment, like "ok what now?" Then I realized HE actaully wanted to go ....Oh My Gosh lol all I could think was "Im not ready for this!" ( I know wierd thought- but the part written above should explain why)Regardless of my mental state of readiness, Jakes was ready to go.

So, he's gone potty on the potty now... it's not an everytime thing, it's a when Jake feels like it thing...but ya know I'm getting excited now that I might not have to deal with diapers for a bit soon....Wish us luck! :)

So, I'm one of "those" people...

One of those unfortunate people who were blessed with the uncanny ability to start things and not finish or keep up...ie.. my blog. But, I am willing to try my hardest to break the cycle and write now. (hahaha did you get the double meaning in that one) I think part of my problem is that I love writing and reading so when I re-read something that I have written and it's boring or gramatically incorrect it bothers me. Like right then, did you catch that? Anywho, I will try to do the best I can and embrace my errors. (that way you, my lovely friends, can still enjoy my super exciting life)

With that being said, I should start with an update :) Ashley's birthday was a blast. On her actual birthday we had some cupcakes and gave her a gift from us (Jared and I) and she loved it...it was the present that she couldnt believe she didnt get from Santa...Her Skateboard with helmet and pads...
Even though there were a few people that didnt show up, the party was a lot of fun. I can't believe my baby is 5...somebody shake me.
